Managers, plans, organizes, directs and controls operational activities within cost allocations to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with contract specifications by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Operations
· Direct and execute new customer/contract start-up operations
· Leverage relationships and build new business opportunities
· Financially manage and ensure account profit and performance and ensure productivity goals are met
· Introduce new products and/or services to all assigned clients
· Present account contract bids and implement contract/services on a timely basis
· Identify opportunities for expansion, growth and financial improvements
· Schedule and conduct regular visits to all customer/site locations; walk through facility, identify and discuss problems or issues with assigned Operations Managers; develop action and implementation plans to address them on a cost-effective basis and provide feedback to VP of Operations
· Determine material, supply and equipment needs where there is not an Operations Manager or Supervisor present
· Oversee the maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of all operational equipment.
· Source, manage, and coordinate subcontractors for specialized projects.
· Ensure janitorial services are in compliance with company standards and contractual obligations to customers within specified budget of labor and expense while ensuring client buildings are in compliance with all State and Federal guidelines, as well as A&A policies
· Assist in Product Services in ensuring compliance with all safety policies and regulations
· Serves as the primary liaison for union representatives and labor-related issues
Team Management
· Provide goal setting and feedback through performance reviews to Operations Managers and possible Onsite Supervisors
· Monitor and provide coverage for all Operations Managers on both day and evening shifts at all facilities throughout
· Coordinate and work along with the sales department in an attempt to obtain any additional work which may need to be performed at various job sites.
Administration
· Recruit for open positions in designated territory and complete required new hire paperwork
· Determine client needs and employee changes (ex. transfers, wage changes, adding new hires etc.)
· Complete and submit Personal Action Notice to Human Resources for approval and system updates
· Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll and ensure time is submitted in accordance with local state wage and hour laws
· Manage time off requests and employee calendar schedule for direct reports
Perform all other duties as required
· Prepare detailed performance reports, including KPIs, cost analysis, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders
· Ensure timely documentation and reporting for audits, reviews, and business reporting cycles(e.g.,QBRs)
Oversee Reports: (Budget, Overtime, Inventory, Fuel and phone etc.)
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages all Operations Managers, Supervisor and responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work: appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
